journal post #7

Run Baby Run

Now Nicky is preaching and telling everybody about his story about why he is an ex Mau Maus leader. Everybody used to think that Nicky would never change and always be a cruel killer. but look at him now. he has finished collage, has a wife and a new baby, and has a pretty good job. Even though Both of them only make $10 an hour they are happy with everything they have.

Quote
"jesus christ" (P263)

Significance
This is important to me because i belive in god and its the greatest thing. God will always be there and is a life changer. When first become a christian its feels like you are being reborn.

journal post #6

 Run Baby Run

Nicky Cruz is now married to his wife that he has met in his christian collage. Nicky and his wife are now like a christian rehab. They take people off the street and help them kick their drug addiction. Right now they are now helping a women named Maria who does heroin. She did some pot but she wanted something stronger. Hows this happend? Maria was in a depression and her boyfriend Jhonny came and and gave her a "fix" and she became obsessed with it and started to be a prostitue for money.

Question
What do you think of drugs like marjuana? do you think its okay?

Quote
"My girlfriends told me about their experiences with marijuana. They said it was okay as long as you didnt go onto something stronger."(P 244)

Significance
This is important to me because even though people tell you experences with weed doesnt mean you should try it and be like them. Eventually after you start smoking you arent going to feel that sensation anymore so you are going to want something stronger.

Run Baby Run- Nicky Cruz

5th Run Baby Run Post

This picture has Nicky Cruz and David Wilkerson preaching.
This is when Nicky has become a Priest and has come back to New York to work with David Wilkerson in teaching kids & people about God. Nicky now walks up to a group of Mau Maus and finds his friend Willie. So he asks him to go for a walk and they walk and talk about god. they find a bench and talk a little more.

Page 212-Willie do you know what it is to repent? No. It means to change. To turn around- Said by Nicky Cruz.

This is important to me because Christ is a big part of my life. God will always be there to talk to and is a very important thing.

This is important to the book because it is kinda what the book is about. If
God can change Nicky he can change anyone. To have god is great and his book AKA The Bible is truely amazing and it has lots of great events to show how great he is.

Questions.
1. Do you think it is bad to be religious?
2. What do you think if you are religious, God can do for you?
3. Do you think you will become Christian or religious?

Run baby run Nicky Cruz

  4th Run Baby Run-Nicky Cruz

This picture has some of the young gang members from The Mau Maus.

I left my life in gods hands!- said by Nicky Cruz

Nicky said I left my life in Gods hands because he got attacked by another gang member because he told the priest where he was so he could talk to him about god.

I think this is actually perfect because when you have turned your life to Christ. There is no need for revenge or anything because god will handle with them. When you turned to Christian you basically get a fresh start. Everything you have done in the past is forgiven and forgotten by God.

This is really important to the book because what happens now it really effects the rest of it and really changes how people look at things and religion is a big thing in the book. Eventually if you ever read this book it really changes your look at things.

Run Baby Run-Nicky Cruz

3rd Run Baby Run-Nicky Cruz Post

This Picture is Young Nicky Cruz and the Pastor David Wilkerson.
Page 79-Nicky you are playing with life and its a dangerous game-said by his brother Louis.

It's important because everybody in the book they are all treating life like it is nothing and really pushing the limits. They are all basically testing their luck until it is too late.

It is important to me because you or anyone only have one shot/opportunity at life. So really why take all the chances of losing it when you can take precautions and don't die! Life is definitely not a game. The people who are alive should be lucky they get to enjoy life.

Questions!
1. Do you think Nicky will stay alive the whole book? Yes or No/ Why or Why not?
2. Do you think Nicky will be safer living with his brother?
3. What do you think Nicky will do? stay with the gang or with his brother?

Run Baby Run

Second Post Of Run Baby Run

Run Baby Run-Nicky Cruz. A boy named Nicky Cruz was hated/abused till he was 9 years old. His parents called him the "son of Satan". So one day Nicky got fed up with everything and got into a fight with his parents and at the end of it he yelled I HATE YOU and i wanna move with my brother. The next day his dad bought Nicky a ticket to New York to go live with his brother. But instead Nicky robbed a young man so he could get an apartment. He then joined a gang called the Mau Mau's.

Run Baby Run is like the movie/book called "The Outsiders". They are both about gangs, territories, fighting, drugs and all that other good stuff. On page 35 Nicky says "Run Man Run, i chose this because later in the book Nicky wont be saying those words.... ill tell you later. Its a great quote because eventually fear is something that everybody deals with in their life.

Run Baby Run By Nicky Cruz

Run Baby Run By Nicky Cruz

The Author of Run baby Run is By Nicky Cruz.

Book Published by Bridge Logos Foundation.

Copy righted in 1968 By Bridge Logos Publisher.

There Are 336 Pages in this book.

So i chose Run Baby Run By Nicky Cruz because i like books that have gangs, big gangs wars, and all that other stuff. I also chose it because i was already reading it too and also when i read the back of the book it seem like a really good book to read and had good reviews. Ill tell you about it. So this book is about a kid who had a stone cold heart at 3 years old. His mom and dad always said they never loved him and things like, they also called him the " SON OF SATAN" and was severally abused mentally and physically. So by the end of this book i expect a change in his heart and religion. That is why i chose this book.
